When translating and reviewing your texts, I use computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools. I prefer working with the software SDL Trados Studio.
After finishing the translation, I check the text twice as far as possible. In the first step, I review the entire translation against the original text, thus ensuring that the text is correct and complete, while also checking grammar and orthography. In a second step, I proofread the German translation again, paying special attention to style and fluidity.
The translation process is completed by conducting the quality assurance with the help of QA tools that check whether the client-specific terminology has been adhered to and if numbers and units have been translated correctly. Finally, I run a spellcheck and grammar check before delivering your translation.
